Every time I update my journal it's to say "Oh I haven't posted anything for ages" or "I promise to be more active" and so on. Well a) no I haven't and b) no I don't. But at the moment I'm enjoying fiddling around with some photomanipulations again.

Life is busy, always busy and many things have changed in the 11 years I've been on DA but this place is still as exciting  as it always was - so maybe I'll stick around a bit.

I've just realised that I've not posted here since late 2008 which is absolutely shocking! Then again I've not actually posted any deviations either in most of that time... so time to get cracking again.

Watch this space, the new graphics tablet is coming out!

Crumbs! It appears to have been over a year and a half since I actually posted anything here since last time was a week before I submitted my Ph.D.

What a lot to tell! Got the phd, minor corrections, graduated last June so officially Dr Ross now. Temped a bit, spent 6 months in academia, left because it wasn't where I was at anymore, went back to working in an insurance company for a bit and now have finally gone self employed as a theatre technician. Have just finished touring Romeo and Juliet & Under Milkwood with Independent Ballet Wales as a lighting designer. Great fun!

Time to start making some more piccies I think, watch this space.

Face is numb, hate dentists, want to eat chocolate now but don't think it'll stay in my mouth lol.

Stay groovy

A whole load of craziness

Wow! what a lot has happened since I last posted a journal entry. So what's been happening?

PhD: Is nearly done, should be finished by the end of this week :joy:

Edinburgh: We've left, wow, never thought this would happen, but we've moved to start a new life in Bristol. Keep getting homesickness pangs everynow and again but on the whole it's looking great here. I've got job interviews coming and all that kind of thing so life is looking up!

BloodSpell: The episodic release of the machinima feature BloodSpell www.bloodspell.com/ finished at the end of last year and can all be viewed/downloaded from the site. Hugh and the rest of the gang are sorting out the full length feature version which is sounding brilliant but I haven't seen any of the new footage (if you're readin this Hugh, send me some screenies plzplzplzkthxlol).

So when all this madness is over I can get on with other things.

Stay cool, and if anyone's on Steamwheedle Cartel WoW realm /w Luskar sometime :) it's me ;)

:D

The News

So once again I've completely neglected my journal for the last 2 months nearly and so much has happened since then. For a start Bloodspell episodes 5,6 and 7 have been released which is cool, you can view them here www.bloodspell.com/film/list we've also released another "Making of" downloadable from the same place.

Continuing on the Machinima vein, myself and Bloodspell 1st AD Johnnie Ingram have been invited to speak at Medienwoche www.medienwoche.de/ in Berlin which will be fun.

On the home front, I passed my motorcycle test about a month ago and have found my self a bike to ride so having lots and lots of fun zooming around scotland on it (well until the stupid indicator bulb blew yesterday).

Oh and have started playing World of Warcraft which is one of the best games ever written... so much so that I still haven't completed Halflife2:Episode 1 yet.

Ph.D is finally going, have got a load of stuff written in the last couple of weeks so it's finally underway on the final stages.
